The Way of Wisdom
Cost $25 for Bible Study (8 weeks)

The book of Proverbs describes godly wisdom as a path that leads to life and flourishing. It also warns of the folly of worldly wisdom as a path that leads to the grave. Every day we face the choice between the true riches of God’s instruction or the fool’s gold of earthly pleasures and pursuits. How often do we call to mind the wisdom found in the sayings of Proverbs to shed light on the path before us? How relevant do we even believe these ancient words are to our modern world?

MORE THAN ENOUGH by Christine Hoover ( 8 week study)
Cost- $ 22. for Bible Study

DESCRIPTION:

Have you ever felt a sense of lack? That you’re not strong enough? Not confident or courageous enough? That you simply don’t have what it takes to endure the pains and difficulties of life?

In this 8-session, verse-by-verse study on 2 Corinthians, Christine Hoover guides you through one of Paul’s most personal letters to discover how God is the ultimate source of the strength and sufficiency you need. You’ll find that God gives you strength to go on—through troubles, disappointments, and temptations—and strength to go forth, equipping you to serve Him and compelling you to share the gospel. Weakness is not a disqualifier or a flaw in our design. In fact, God shows Himself most powerfully in and through our fragility and vulnerability. We’re called, then, not to work harder or to hide our weaknesses, but to call upon God’s infinite resources and rely on Him.

Women’s Study: Sermon On The Mount by Jen Wilkins
Teachers: Laura Steele, Ashley Pate
Cost $ 25.00
Meets in Room C124

Most of us have only encountered the Sermon on the Mount in fragments, considering its subdivisions as complete teachings in their own right-a study on blessedness; a reflection on the Lord’s Prayer; a discussion of religious devotion, money, ambition, and relationships.

What if we navigated these three chapters in Matthew as they were originally heard? What if we read them as one cohesive, well-ordered message, intended to challenge us to think differently about what it means to be a follower of Jesus?

The church at Corinth seems to have been struggling with more issues than any other church in the New Testament. We see struggles with divisions in the church, sexual immorality, doctrinal problems, the proper use of spiritual gifts, divorce, the roles of men and women in the church, and even lawsuits among church members. The underlying cause of many of these symptoms was that the church members were giving in to their natural tendency to promote self above Christ and above others. Join us as we look at God’s highly applicable counsel given to this church through the apostle Paul.
